چکیده
Background: Salmonella is an important foodborne pathogen that causes diarrhea in humans worldwide. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the serotype distribution, antibiotic-resistant genes, and pathogenicity island (SPI) genes of clinical isolates Weifang. Methods: A total 111 strains were collected from Weifang People’s Hospital between 2018 2020 subjected serotyping using Kauffmann-White antigen table. Meanwhile, polymerase chain reaction detected eleven SPI1-6 six antibiotic resistance genes. Results: Among strains, 17 serotypes identified, with S. Typhimurium, Typhi, Enteritidis being most prevalent. The hilA, ssaB, sseC, marT, siiE, pipB, sopB, pagN all found during analysis. InvA, misL, siiD at 98.2, 97.30, 97.30% rates, respectively. Also, sul2 blaTEM prevalent this investigation, accounting for 68.47 21.62% total, Conclusions: isolated samples was have a diversity possessed various SPI

Antibiotic resistance profiles of Salmonella serotypes isolated from animals in Iran: a meta-analysis
Background: Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) is a zoonotic bacterial disease. Widespread use of antibiotics in livestock and poultry production for different purposes such as treatment and growth promotion has led to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant Salmonella, causing treatment of Salmonella infections more difficult with each passing year. Aims: To determine the antibiotic resistance...
متن کاملAntibiotic resistance genes and Salmonella genomic island 1 in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium isolated in Italy.
Fifty-four epidemiologically unrelated multidrug-resistant Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium isolates, collected between 1992 and 2000 in Italy, were analyzed for the presence of integrons. Strains were also tested for Salmonella genomic island 1 (SGI1), carrying antibiotic resistance genes in DT104 strains. A complete SGI1 was found in the majority of the DT104 strains. Two DT104 strains...
متن کاملPrevalence and Antibiotic Resistance of Salmonella Serotypes in Chicken Meat of Ardabil, Northwestern Iran
Background and Objective: Salmonellosis is one of the most important zoonotic diseases; most of the infections caused by the consumption of contaminated food is caused by this bacterium. During the last decades, the resistance of Salmonella isolates to conventional antibiotics has increased, which is a global health problem. The objective of this study was to investigate Salmonella serotypes in...
متن کاملSalmonella pathogenicity island 4-mediated adhesion is coregulated with invasion genes in Salmonella enterica.
Salmonella pathogenicity island 4 (SPI4) encodes a type I secretion system and the cognate substrate protein, SiiE. We have recently demonstrated that SiiE is a giant nonfimbrial adhesin involved in the adhesion of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium to polarized epithelial cells. We also observed that under in vitro culture conditions, the synthesis and secretion of SiiE coincided with the...
متن کاملMutations in Salmonella pathogenicity island 2 (SPI2) genes affecting transcription of SPI1 genes and resistance to antimicrobial agents.
The Salmonella typhimurium genome contains two pathogenicity islands (SPI) with genes encoding type III secretion systems for virulence proteins. SPI1 is required for the penetration of the epithelial layer of the intestine. SPI2 is important for the subsequent proliferation of bacteria in the spleens of infected hosts. Although most mutations in SPI2 lead to a strong reduction of virulence, th...
